It was color that first brought me to painting. Like most children I was drawn to saturated color. I never lost that love color, and throughout my career I have sought to unlock its mysteries. I see it as a force in constant motion, chronological. The color wheel as a clock, beginning with the reds of morning to the blues of mid-day, sinking back down through spectrum to the evening red. My vision is also informed by the natural world, the many living things we barely notice, the constant flow of water, and ever-changing configurations of the sky.
